Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information GenieStudio collects when you use our website and app, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to run the Service and bill you, we don’t sell your data, and your prompts, scripts and voice samples are yours.
Who is responsible

Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: name, email address and password (stored hashed).
- Billing details: your plan, billing address and transaction history. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor; we receive only a token, the card type and the last four digits.
- Content you submit: prompts, scripts, images, footage, audio and brand assets you upload, and the settings you choose (voice, length, style).
- Voice samples: if you use voice cloning, the audio recording you provide and the voice model created from it.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through support.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: which features you use, videos generated, minutes used, errors and performance data.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed and timestamps.

Generated content
The scripts, narration, visuals and videos the Service produces for you (“Output”) are stored in your account so you can review, edit and download them.

We do not sell your personal information. GenieStudio uses your content to provide the requested service. Third-party AI services have their own data-use terms; their treatment of free-tier and paid requests can differ.
Automated processing and AI providers
To generate your videos we send your prompts, scripts and relevant uploads to third-party providers of artificial-intelligence models (for text, speech and image or video generation) and to media libraries. Provider terms govern their processing, retention and any model-improvement use. We cannot make a blanket no-training promise for every enabled service or tier. Contact us for the current provider details before submitting sensitive or confidential content.
The Service does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing.
Voice data
A voice sample can identify you, so we treat it with extra care. Where voice cloning is explicitly available, we only create a cloned voice when you ask us to and confirm that the voice is yours or that you have permission from its owner. Voice samples and models, where used, are subject to the storage, processing and deletion terms of the enabled voice service. Contact support for any provider-side deletion request. You can withdraw consent by requesting deletion through support or an available account control.
How we share information
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers who help us run the Service: cloud hosting and storage, AI model providers, payment processing, email delivery, customer support tools and analytics. Their processing is subject to the applicable service terms described above.
- People you choose to share with, through a sharing feature available in your account.
- Authorities or other parties when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety or property of GenieStudio, our users or others.
- A successor if GenieStudio is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets; we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for such transfers, such as standard contractual clauses, and we ask providers to maintain appropriate security.
How long we keep information
- Account and project data: according to your account and project-retention settings. Closing an account cancels active work and removes or anonymizes its local content; financial and legally required records may be retained. Backup and provider-held copies follow their separate retention processes.
- Billing records: as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years).
- Voice samples and models: where the feature is enabled, according to the voice provider’s retention and deletion process.
- Logs: retained as needed for security, support and operational diagnostics under the configured retention policy.
Security
We use access controls, hashed passwords and encrypted storage for connected-provider credentials. HTTPS protects data in transit on the configured site. These measures do not imply that every uploaded file or provider-held copy is encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so we also ask you to use a strong, unique password and to tell us immediately if you suspect a problem with your account.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. You can do most of this yourself in your account settings; for anything else, email hello@geniestudio.us. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity first. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Marketing emails: you can unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email. We will still send service emails such as receipts and security notices.
Residents of California and other US states: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may exercise the rights above through the contact address, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
Residents of the EEA, UK and Switzerland: the legal bases we rely on are listed in the table above. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced them against your rights.
Children
The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
The landing page uses locally hosted fonts and no embedded analytics. Links to the app or other services are governed by their own processing practices. We may update this policy as the Service and the law change. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app.
